Frequently asked questions
Phone doesn't read the tag
Usually a thick or metal phone case, a locked screen, or NFC turned off in settings. 1) Turn on NFC in your phone settings. 2) Remove the case. 3) Hold the top back of the phone against the tag for two seconds.

Payment went through but activation did not
Activation runs a few seconds after payment and can lag behind the confirmation email. 1) Refresh the activation page. 2) Check your inbox for a receipt. 3) Wait one minute, then open the tag link again.

Tag lost, stolen, or damaged
A missing or broken tag stops protecting your pet, so the old one gets deactivated. 1) Report it as lost or damaged in your pet's settings — this deactivates the old tag immediately. 2) Order a replacement. 3) The new tag links to the same pet profile automatically.

Tag linked to the wrong pet
This happens when a tag gets activated for the wrong profile by mistake. 1) Open that pet's settings. 2) Unlink the tag. 3) Scan the tag again and choose the correct pet.

Incorrect or outdated medical record
Owners and approved co-owners can edit most records directly; a record a vet added needs a correction from that clinic. 1) Open the pet's medical records. 2) Edit or delete the entry. 3) If a vet entered it, ask the clinic to update it.

Who can see my pet's profile when someone scans the tag
A scan shows only what you choose to make public — by default, name, photo, and emergency contacts. Medical history stays private until you turn it on, from the pet's privacy settings.
